The Way I See It 8-3-12
Welcome to my first recap of August! Get a nice cold drink and relax as I bring you the news The Way I See It.
Lets start off with Impact.
Aces and Eights- Sting wanted to get to the bottom of things and invited James Storm to the ring. Storm came out and Sting showed footage of the past few Aces and Eights attacks when they attack everyone but Storm and when Storm ran down to deal with them and they retreated. Storm said he didn’t see evidence against him, he saw cowards running away. Storm said he doesn’t need anyone to fight his battles for him. Out came Angle to say Storm benefited from the past couple of attacks and then 8 men run away from 1 man. Kurt calls Aces and Eights to come to the ring for his main event match. Throughout the show Sting, Roode, Aries, Devon, Garrett, and Bully Ray say they’ll be at ringside for the main event to deal aces and eights should they come.
Later in the back Sting was asking Skank about how her dad was doing. During the talk a package was delivered to Skank containing the Dead Man’s Hand causing her to take off quickly.
Wes Brisco also showed up saying he wants in the company and sat at ringside for the main event. Aces and Eights didn’t show up because Roode said Storm didn’t need them. Bully Ray tried to attack Storm leading to the show going off the air with Storm and Bully fight and Roode and Aries fighting.
Aces and Eights didn’t show up (other than Brisco at ringside) yet there presence was still known. The TNA talent is turning on each other. This is interesting.
Hardcore Justice- Yesterday Chad reported on 3 4 man matches with 20 BFG Series points on the line in each. Last night they announced the stips for each one. Bully Ray vs Jeff Hardy vs James Storm vs Robbie E will be a Tables match. Anderson vs Pope vs RVD vs Magnus will be Falls Count Anywhere and AJ vs Angle vs Daniels vs Joe will be a Ladder match.
I was hoping for a cage match in one of them. Falls Count Anywhere matched piss me off cause more often than not they end in the ring. Anywho I give the Tables match to Hardy, the Falls Count Anywhere to Anderson and the Ladder match to Joe. of the 3 the ladder match is the one I’m most looking forward to myself.
Speaking of the BFG Series
Bound For Glory Series Update- Last night we had 2 more BFG Series matches as well as on for XPlosion.
On XPlosion Bully Ray earned 7 by pinning Daniels.
Last night Bully Ray pinned Robbie E after a Bubba Cutter in 56 seconds to earn 7 more points.
In the main event James Storm was in the Ankle lock for a minute and a half. Finally he got out and hit the Last Call Superkick with the same leg that was in the Ankle Lock and picked up 7 thus retaking the lead.
Current standing are:
In The Playoffs
1. James Storm 52 points (4-1-2)
2. Samoa Joe 47 points (5-2)
3. Kurt Angle 41 points (5-3)
4). Mr. Anderson 40 points (5-4-1)
Need To Make A Move
5. Jeff Hardy 28 points (4-3)
5. Rob Van Dam 28 points (4-2)
7. Christopher Daniels 26 points (4-3)
8. Magnus 21 points (3-5)
8. Bully Ray 21 points (3-3)
10. AJ Styles 16 points (2-2-1)
11. The Pope 7 points (1-4)
12. Robbie E 5 points (1-8)
Next week on Impact we have RVD vs Pope and Bully Ray vs Storm. Add that with 3 20 point matches at Hardcore justice and it’s still anybody’s ball game.
Knockouts #1 Contender- Earlier in the night we saw Earl Hebner give Madison Rayne a teddy bear and a box of chocolates. Then came the 4 way with Madison, Gail, Tara, and Mickie with Tessmacher on commentary and Earl as ref. All 4 women but up a great fight. The ending came as Gail shoved Mickie off the top rope to the floor. Then Tara hit the widow’s peak on Gail and rolled up Madison. Tara clearly had one shoulder up so she thought she won the match but Earl Hebner raised Madison’s hand instead.
Ah yes, biased reffing. I hope Earl isn’t the ref at Hardcore Justice and Tessmacher keeps the belt, but i don’t count on it. expect another Earl Hebner screw job to give his girlfriend the title.
Baby Shower- Backstage Dixie said it’s way past time for AJ to set the record straight about this Claire Lynch situation. Since AJ Styles was in Australia promoting Impact, Daniels and Kaz held a Baby Shower for Claire Lynch. They invited her to the ring and presented her with a necklace. Then they gave her gifts of Diapers for the baby, AJ Styles action figures, pictures of Daniels and Kaz, and AJ, toy versions of the tag team championship belts, t-shirts, and last but not least a baby doll wearing the AJ Styles hoodie. Claire looked at the camera and told AJ to do the right thing.
Honestly does anyone give a shit about this angle anymore? I know I don’t. they need to just end it and move on.
And that was the August 2 2012 Impact. Now to see what else is going on today.
Joey Ryan- TNA is building up to a match between Joey Ryan and Al Snow. Taz was intended to be in the match but his neck issues that forced his retirement are keeping him from getting ready for a one off return to the ring.
That’s kinda what i figured on both counts. I look for the match to at Bound For Glory and have a stipulation of if Joey wins he gets a contract. Not confirmed, just my guess (although it does sound highly likely).
Bully Ray Update- Last week we reported on Bully Ray, Devon, and Velvet Sky all having contract renegotiations. Velvet decided to leave, but Bully Ray is staying after getting a better offer from the company.
Figured Bully Ray would stay since hes one of the top heels in the company. Glad to hear it.
Ug- TNA is actually partnering with Twitter. Dixie Carter said this via her Twitter “Proud to be partnering with @twitter and becoming the FIRST wrestling company to stream live to our own twitter page @IMPACTWRESTLING!” Details on what this partnership will actual involve are scarce.
How is TNA gonna stream Impact via twitter? I don’t get how any of this would work.
PPV in England?- AJ Styles is trying to convince the TNA higher ups to run an A level Pay Per View like Slammaversary or Bound For Glory. He’s convinced American audiences would buy it even if it was taped and the fans in the UK would sell the arena out.
And I can’t really argue with him. When Impact was held in Wembley earlier this year it gave TNA a Big show feel. The crowd was hot and the place was packed. Even with my irrational hatred of the British I think this is a great idea, and that’s saying something.
Angle vs Jarrett- The 2nd of TNA’s series of PPV specials looking at big fueds in the company will feature Kurt Angle vs Jeff Jarrett. The 1 hour Pay Per View special will beginning airing September 1.
I like the idea of this series. I just wish it was on free TV instead of Pay per View.
New Alumni- The newest Addition to the WWE alumni page is one Val Venis. WWE says “Rude, lewd, and highly outrageous, Val Venis shocked network censors and WWE fans alike when he debuted during the “Attitude Era.” Find out what all the controversy was about with The Big Valbowski’s exclusive profile, photos, and videos.”
Like I said before not sure if this is a honor or not. If so Congrats Val.
Dawn Marie fires Back- Addressing Kamala’s claim that Dawn Marie’s Wrestler’s Rescue charity never sent him any money they collected, Dawn Marie flew the Bullshit flag by saying she indeed sent a check for $500 that was returned uncashed by Kamala because it wasn’t sent fast enough. Dawn Marie’s Agent Michelle Mupo tweeted pictures of the uncashed check and the registered letter it was sent back in yet a stop payment order was sent by Dawn Marie on the check.
Why stop payment on a check in your possession? Rip it up , shred it, burn it, hell eat it if you want. No need to stop payment. Something’s not right with this story.
WWE Saturday Morning show?- A new survey going around asks fans how they feel about a half hour show on Saturdays involving clips from recent shows as well as clips from the past and one match featuring different Superstars.
There’s nothing wrong with recap shows. But to me it seems like throwing a match in there may be trying to cram a little much in a half hour show. Plus I don’t see big names like Punk, Orton, Cena, Bryan, and Sheamus taking part in the match for that show. I’m all for a Saturday recap show but don’t try to squeeze in a match with guys no one cares anything about.
Another Movie?- WWE Studios is now talking about doing another 12 Rounds movie. This time called 12 Rounds: Reloaded and stars Randy Orton.Orton will play an EMT playing a 12 round game with a man from his past with his wife’s life on the line.
Not a fan of sequels nor of wrestlers in a movie (except Ready To Rumble for it’s train wreck qualities). Is this gonna be like the Final Destination movies where it’s the same damn plot just different actors?
And that’s all I got for you today.
Since it’s Friday go over and check out Crossing The Impact Zone to get the full happenings of Impact. Also the 2nd edition of The Shark Attacks NXT where Ed covers NXT is up.
Have a great weekend all and be glad your not Stan.

American audiences barely buy TNA PPVs as is. I doubt them doing one in the UK is gonna change their minds.
