Scarier than a Missy Hyatt plastic surgery outing, more crocked than Dawn Marie and angrier than a promoter who booked Davey Richards, this is Only My Opinion Matters! Tonight’s column is brought to you completely bigot free! And with that, lets get TO THE FUNNY!
Hardcore Justice Gets Kinky – Announced today by Dixie Carter, we will have three four-way matches at the pay per view, each involving a different stipulation. To add to the proceedings, each winner of their respective matches will get a whopping 20 points in the BFG Series Standings! A cage match should be expected. What else though will be a mystery. The three matches are as follows:
Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson vs. Magnus vs. The Pope – or the “Ed hates this grouping already” group
Jeff Hardy vs. Robbie E vs. James Storm vs. Bully Ray – or the “Looks like a good time for Hardy to get back into this” group
AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe – or the “……..oh holy crap, this may be the greatest thing ever….” group
I don’t about you, but I really am hoping that we get a fatal four way, elimination, submission match out of the last group.
Dawn Marie, You Gots Some Splaining To Do! – At the start of the week, Kamala aka James Harris released a video where he blasted Dawn Marie and Wrestlers Rescue (a unlicensed and unapproved charity, that is supposed to help raise money for wrestlers) for asking for donations to help Kamala with serious health issues. Mr. Harris claims to have not seen a dime of the money that Dawn Maries is allegedly raising for Mr. Harris and others in similar situations. Already, accusations of fraud have been levied against her and her group as she claimed to have raised money in the name of helping Steve Williams, Jerry Lynn and now James Harris. Today, the former Blue Meanie aka Brian Heffron took Dawn to task by exposing her shady business practices. Dawn Marie’s website is currently suspended, probably due to the allegations against the site. Fraud is a major crime, money fraud will usually land someone in prison. Dawn Marie should lawyer up and get a good attorney because if she was collecting money under false pretenses, she’s in major trouble.
WWE Network Delayed Again, New Launch Date Set For 3252 – Apparently the WWE Network is again being pushed back. Considering the network has not found a home, nor does the WWE seem to be interested to just start a channel from scratch, this looks more and more like a failed endeavor. Vince however, probably does not want to admit defeat as he’s done so many times in the past, ECW’s stand alone brand, Radio WWF, that Body Building Federation thing and of course, the XFL. Just because the WWE Studios isn’t bankrupted yet, doesn’t mean it’s a success either. However, if you’ve seen the trailer to “The Day”, it’s not as awful looking as all the others. I understand Vince’s defiance to get this network launched but the reality of it all is, if something isn’t in place by November, than it won’t be ready by WrestleMania 29 and people will grow tired of waiting for something that they’ve given up on. Once you lose their interest, you lose it. This is some poorly handled work on the WWE’s part.
Daniel Bryan vs. Charlie Sheen – Apparently we aren’t going to get some kind of match at SummerSlam but an angle. It’s being reported today that Charlie Sheen and Daniel Bryan are set to have some sort of angle to advance a future feud between the two. While not confirmed, if it’s not going to happen at SummerSlam, it’ll happen at WrestleMania. Just makes too much sense.
You’re High On Who? – Apparently the WWE is VERY high on Jinder Mahal. And they’re going to push him by….well having him feud with Ryback…who just eats people alive and destroys future careers. Great idea there guys. You have two relative unknowns feuding, and frankly, knowing your standards, the loser might as well just quit now, as he’ll never be booked the same way again. I’m not sure why they’re on Mahal bandwagon. He’s tall, has a look and is young enough, but so is half of your roster….. Jinder Mahal, your flavor of the month!
Backstage TNA News – Dakota Darsow is currently someone that Eric Bischoff is very high on and is pushing TNA Wrestling to bring him in full time. Dakota and Wes Briscoe could make a very interesting tag team, and with TNA’s teams being very depleted as of late, it wouldn’t be a bad idea. Also on the contract front, Bully Ray has apparently agreed to a new deal. The re-energized Ray is having a career re-birth in the last two years. One of TNA’s top heels and a massive source of entertainment, Ray is expected to stick around for a while now. Devon, Rays former tag team partner is also said to be close on an extension as well. Unlike some others in recent months, both former members of Team 3D would like to remain in TNA, where they’ve spent more than with any other company in their career.
